Vacation

Savings for vacation has begun!! We put our first Benjamin's in an envelope tonight to save for a family vacation next spring! Looking like it will be Florida. Thinking it's time to finally hit up Disney and maybe the beach!!!  As you can see Owen was really excited to hold this cold hard cash in hand!

Oppurtunities

Wow, high school. I still can't believe we have entered into this chapter of our lives. Just starting to get an understanding of all the opportunities that Grace will have in the last four years of her public school years. Just tonight we had a meeting for a Costa Rica trip she was given the opportunity to attend next summer. 

It is so difficult to make these decisions. You want to be able to provide your children with these great opportunities but on the other end there is a need to think responsibly to know if financially it would be a good decision for your family as a whole. Looking at all the opportunities ahead it is so overwhelming! From academic clubs, sports, volunteering, preparing to enter college and everything in between!! You want your kids to be able to have as many opportunities to benefit their future and for them to grow and experience all life has to offer. But, how far do you go?? This Costa Rica trip is not cheap and would take a lot to pull together the funds in a years time. Not to mention that our whole family would be having to sacrifice different things throughout the year to make it happen. However, looking at all it has to offer your child there is a moment where you wanna say "just do it" and we will find a way!  We do know there will be more opportunities for the future but there is also the chance that "later" may not be any better of a time to fund a big trip. Of course the older your kids get it seems the more expenses there are! 

And of course even bigger decisions to be made! #ineverwannagrowup

Tooth fairy

I had forgotten to post that Owen lost his first tooth the day before Easter!! 

The tooth fairy brought him $2 and left it in an Easter Egg!

High school here she comes!!!

Wow, look at this wonderful opportunity grace has next year!!! Maybe I will have to volunteer to chaperone 😊
