Memorial weekend camping at it's finest! Weather as to be expected for this weekend! Rained on us Friday evening and saturday morning. However not enough to keep us away from the campfire complete with umbrellas and ponchos! We camped with our neighbor's Christy and Brody and Brody's family all 7 families total! It was a great weekend despite the weather. The campground was in Amish Country or Amish World as Owen liked to call it! It was neat driving through and seeing the culture. We even saw a younger boy having a good ole time riding his horse and buggy around the yard! Saturday morning the Amish brought in baked goods to sell. Later that morning the girls ventured out to the Amish food store and a little browsing in the furniture store. Sunday we finally got a break in the weather to do some swimming in the "sand pool". Had a great bags tournament that evening where I was on fire! The kids enjoyed having free rain of the campground with their friends. Grace buying out the candy store and Owen the trinket machine. Owen hung with his buddy Carson. Grace found another girl in the group her age.
The campground was great! Very well taken care of! There were no golf carts allowed which made a huge difference! The sites were pretty small and close together but really didn't seem to be a huge nuisance. Although we were in our own little group. Nice amenities, swim pond, pool, mini golf, store, playground, activities and great bathrooms! The area was beautiful around the camp and itself with nice big trees. Not too far from home about 1 1/2 hours.
We both said we would for sure camp there again!
