Rainbow Dance Competition

Rainbow Dance Competition

Grace had her 2nd dance competition this weekend in Madison at the Alliant Energy Center.  It was a great one and all the kids did fantastic!  Grace and Caitlyn got a Platinum on their duet and did a fantastic job!  Miss Colleen has been working really hard with them to get in rythym with one another and they pulled it off.  Miss Colleen was VERY proud of them!  They also finally received their costumes that were on back order and got to perform with their new costumes!
Grace's group dances did really well too, Hip Hop came away with a Platinum and Jazz with a High Gold.  Jazz routine got a little tripped up on their chairs during the routine.
The rest of the team did an awesome job as well.  This weekend was the first competition for our little mini group, Gitchee Goo and they were adorable!  They ended up taking a Double Platinum as well as Top Entertainer award and Finalist for Video of the year!  We also had quite a few of the older kid routines that placed really high and got invited to do a special workshop in New York City!
It was a great day but an exhausting one.  Bill, Cindy and Nathan came to watch taking in some sights of Madison in between dances and a short trip to the Children's Museum.  Understandable that it is a lot to sit through in on day!  Grace and I had once again been there from 9am-9:30pm!

Tooth Fairy

Within the last two weeks or so Grace has lost two more teeth.  This time the ones on either side of her two front teeth.  Looks sort of funny especially when she makes her two front teeth overlap her bottom lip to look like a bunny rabbit!  I will have to post some pics soon!

Save the planet, one Owen at a time

Owen asks me today, "do you put a juice box in reduce, reuse or recycling?"
Happy Earth Day!

Lego accomplishment

So proud of Owen for completing his Buzz Lightyear Spaceship! He ended up doing about 70% or more of the work on his own. I only started to help him about after an hour into the project when he started to get a little tired and distracted. Even then I just helped him move a few pieces he misfit and helped him stay in track with the steps in the book!
I love legos! Great project and good quality time for us!
