My Super Hero

Owen is big into super Hero's right now. It all started when he got a box of costumes from grandpa bill from Christmas and recently started watching Power Rangers. He is crazy about wanting the red power rangers suit! One day he came flying in from outside with a 3 leaf clover in his hands telling me it was good luck. I tried to explain that he meant 4 leaf clovers but he just stared at me with a blank look and a bit of disappointment so I figured it was best to go with it! Just as I started to walk away I looked back and he has the clover cupped in his hand, eyes closed and is whispering to it, "I wish for a red power rangers suit". He proceeds to tell me that he then needed to put the clover under his pillow to guarantee his wish came true! So, as I came across the posted photo I had to chuckle a little at the same time a tear came to my eye.... Here's to the super hero in all of us or at least to the one in my little boys heart!

Someones in trouble!

So tonight was the first time Owen deliberately got himself in trouble by disobeying! He had came to me while playing outside and asked if he could go over to the neighbor girls house with some of his other friends from across the street. I told him no for a couple of reasons. He was upset but got over it after they left. He was so funny afterwards, apparently the kids said they would come back and play with him in a little while. In the meantime I see him out on the sidewalk inching closer towards hannahs house and waiting very patiently for them to return. Dad came home a few minutes later and got his bike down for him to ride. Aaron then came inside to talk with me and about a minute later I look outside to see how he is doing on his bike and I don't see him anywhere. Hannahs house is about 4 down from us and I see his bike laying in the driveway. I walk over to find him in the backyard jumping on the trampoline with the other kids! He just rode off and decided to join them even after I told him no! Needless to say I brought him home in tears of disappointment in himself. He was to be inside for the night and dad hung his bike back up for the week.
